Kandang Kumaruyuk

Every day, households throw away food that could feed a chicken. That chicken could lay an egg, and its waste could feed the soil. Kandang Kumaruyuk is Kebun Kumara's composting chicken coop that realizes this natural cycle for our homes. In just 1x2 meters of outdoor space, it houses up to four chickens, yields as many as 750 eggs per year, and converts daily kitchen scraps and chicken manure into rich organic compost through a dry leaf bedding system. Naturally odor-free, this composting coop is our practical answer to the simple belief that meaningful change can start small, in backyards, one coop at a time.
